BreakAway's Doug Whatley Speaks at Serious Games Forum at Purdue University
BALTIMORE, MD (4/3/07) --- Doug Whatley, Founder and CEO of BreakAway Ltd, a leading developer of entertainment games, game-based simulations and training software will present at the upcoming Serious Games Forum to be held at Purdue University on April 5th, 2007. Purdue is hosting leading experts in the fields of modeling, simulation and serious games to discuss their most recent projects and explore how video game technology continues to impact the way we play, teach, train, learn and communicate across a variety of industries and organizations.
Whatley will discuss some of the ways game-based simulations have already made changes, why and how they will be increasingly adopted for use by a wider audience, and how new tools based in game technology can be used to see into and experience our future.
Other esteemed speakers include Rudy P. Darken of MOVES and Naval Postgraduate School, Andrea Lauer Rice of Lauer Learner and Howard Phillips of Microsoft, Inc. An afternoon demonstration will include the new portable Virtual Reality System from WorldViz.
