BreakAway's Founder and CEO to Present at the Modeling, Simulation and Serious Games Day in Baltimore
BALTIMORE, MD (10/12/07) --- BreakAway ltd, a leading developer of entertainment games, training simulations and innovative game technologies for modeling, simulation and visualization today announced that Founder and CEO, Doug Whatley has been invited to speak at the Modeling, Simulation and Serious Games Conference and Expo to be held in Baltimore, MD, Friday, October 19th, 2007.
This event is designed for game developers, corporations, business development professionals, government, and others interested in 3-D modeling, simulation and serious games. Whatley’s presentation will discuss game-based technology and applications that are transforming the way we teach, train and inspire first responder and medical professionals.
“There is significant interest in using the power of video game technology to improve the quality and proficiency of training programs in the medical and first responder communities,” said Doug Whatley. “I hope to share how easy-to-use, robust development tools can give end-users the power to build their own worlds, create scenarios and assess new capabilities and concepts in an interactive 3D world.”
The conference will also feature keynote speaker John Nordlinger, Program Manager for Microsoft Research, who will address the role of games in learning and Kevin Kallaugher (KAL), political cartoonist for The Economist. KAL will discuss "Animated Politics: Seeing Satire Come Alive in 3-D." The welcoming address will be given by Ben Sawyer of the Serious Games Initiative.
